Vineyards

We manage a total of 36 hectares of organic vineyards, where we have planted top-quality clones of various grape varieties. The seedlings were custom prepared to our specifications by a renowned nursery.

Our approach is rooted in a deep respect for nature, placing environmental care at the heart of everything we do. All our vineyards are cultivated in line with the principles of organic farming.

Our story

How it began

The idea for a joint project to build a winery with its own vineyards in Slovakia was born over a glass of good wine among friends. A winemaking family from Moravia and a native of Nitra came together to search for the perfect location for this unique endeavour.

Captivated by the charm of ancient vineyards and exceptional wines, we drew inspiration from the renowned Vráble region and its surroundings. Vine Mountain, a cornerstone of the region’s winemaking history, cradles a part of Predium—a scenic southern slope, ideal for vine cultivation. Here, we chose to honour and carry forward Vráble’s celebrated winemaking tradition.

Our goal is to restore Vráble wines to their rightful place in Slovak viticulture. In 2024, our efforts were recognised with the prestigious title of Winery of the Year, awarded by the Grape and Wine Producers Association of Slovakia. This honour motivates us to continue innovating and elevating the reputation of Slovak wines both locally and internationally.

We believe that lovers of Slovak wine will find their way to us, enjoying Vráble wines paired with great food and experiencing the peaceful atmosphere of our winery.

Winery and Vineyards

Our vineyards

Predium Vineyard in Vráble

In 2019, we planted a 10-hectare vineyard on Mount Predium, with an additional 2 hectares added in 2021. The southeastern slope is home to varieties such as Traminer Red, Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pálava, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufränkisch, and Dunaj.

In 2016, we began restoring a 24-hectare vineyard on Kováčová Hill near Tehla. The original vineyard, dating back to the mid-1960s, was on the brink of destruction, and we saved it just in time. This south-facing vineyard is planted with Pinot Gris, Pálava, Traminer Red, Sauvignon, Irsai Oliver, Devín, Moravian Muscat, Müller-Thurgau, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufränkisch, Alibernet, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Cabernet Blanc.

Collaboration with Local Winegrowers

We have established close cooperation with winegrowers from the Vráble wine region, working together to support and strengthen the local wine industry.

In 2015, we began preparing for and gradually constructing the winery. The design and construction incorporated innovative methods and practices under the supervision of architect Radovan Rusnák, himself a winemaker, who understood precisely how to bring our vision to life.

Our modern winery seamlessly blends contemporary and traditional elements. The structure is defined by cast concrete monoliths, elegantly complemented by arches crafted from reclaimed brick. Surrounded by vineyards, the winery creates a picturesque and inviting atmosphere.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability

Our vision for sustainable development in winemaking is reflected at every stage of production.

We do not use herbicides in the vineyards; instead, we remove weeds mechanically with hoes. Since the vineyard is a monoculture, we have sown the inter-rows with species-rich herbaceous mixtures and flowers. This enriches the landscape, boosts biodiversity, and benefits soil microorganisms, insects, birds, and other animals dependent on the ecosystem.

Herbaceous plants also trap airborne CO₂ and store it in the soil, enhancing soil structure and vitality. This improves water retention and resistance to drought, making the vineyard more resilient.

Local beekeepers’ bees thrive in the vineyards, and we have installed insect hotels and shelters for solitary bees to support biodiversity and preserve natural ecosystems.

Our winery uses gravity processing for grapes, eliminating the need for pumps that could damage the mash early in the process. The proximity of our vineyards ensures minimal transport time, allowing the raw materials to retain their freshness, aroma, and varietal characteristics.

Our cellars, located seven metres underground, maintain a stable temperature of 12 to 15°C throughout the year, minimising energy consumption for cooling.

The winery building features a green roof, planted with various plants. This keeps the building cool, maintains stable indoor temperatures, and retains rainwater, which is collected in a pond and used to water the vineyards. Strategically placed skylights maximise natural light, reducing energy consumption. Modern heat pumps are used for heating and cooling, further reducing the winery’s ecological footprint. Another important source of energy are the photovoltaic panels that we have installed on the roof of our winery.

Our Wine

Products

We offer a diverse collection of wines that includes both local and international varieties. Varieties typical of the Vráble region, such as Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling, are complemented by Slovak newcomers like Dunaj and Devín, as well as internationally renowned varieties like Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Semillon. Semillon, a centuries-old.

French variety, has been grown in Vráble since the 18th century, enabling us to honour and carry forward a rich winemaking legacy.

We believe that good wine should be accessible to as many people as possible. That’s why our portfolio includes wines with low histamine content, ideal for those with histamine intolerance, as well as vegan-friendly options, where no animal products are used in the process.

We take great care with each wine, focusing on minimising sulphur content. All our stainless-steel tanks are meticulously temperature-controlled to create ideal fermentation conditions and safeguard the wine’s quality. Our wines complement food beautifully, making them perfect for both celebrating special occasions and elevating everyday moments.

We are proud that our wines have earned recognition and awards at prestigious competitions both domestically and internationally. Notable awards include recognition at Decanter in London, Bacchus in Madrid, and Vinalies Internationales in Paris. Several of our wines are also featured in The Slovak National Collection of Wines.
